THE TREATMENT PROCESS
Before your lip augmentation procedure, you will need to attend a consultation with one of The Facebible’s expert team of practitioners. This session will determine how best to approach your concerns in order to achieve your expected goal.
Your treatment may begin with the application of a mild anaesthetic to numb the lips before a fine needle is used to administer the dermal fillers. The aim of the fillers is to replace or add volume to the tissues beneath the surface of the skin, augmenting their appearance.
AFTERCARE AND RESULTS
In the first 6 hours that follow the treatment, you should avoid touching the lips or applying unnecessary pressure. This will allow for the dermal fillers to settle into place effectively.
There may be some minor side effects which will last for around 24 – 48 hours. After this time you will be able to notice the final results, which should produce lips that look naturally smoother and fuller in appearance. Lip augmentation can also help to restore balance and proportion to the lips as a feature, and with the face as a whole.

It is common for the lips to become slightly swollen from the injections, along with minor bruising and redness. These effects have usually settled after 24 or 48 hours. You may also need to take care when eating or drinking as the lips could also feel sensitive.
Lip augmentation is usually performed within a single treatment session. However in some cases, a slight top-up is needed once the final outcome is visible.
Dermal fillers will dissolve slowly over time, usually lasting for around 12 – 18 months.
