WHAT IS MORPHEUS8?

Morpheus8 is a resurfacing treatment that helps to transform the look and feel of the skin. It combines the use of microneedling with radiofrequency technology to help remodel the skin’s inner structure, improving its appearance from the inside out. 

At The Facebible in Berkshire, we treat many patients who are concerned with their complexion as they get older. We recommend this treatment when conditions such as: lines and wrinkles, jowls, sagging skin around the neck and eye bags have started to develop,  helping rejuvenate the appearance. As Morpheus8 restores the subdermal tissues, it can also noticeably improve patches of skin discolouration (hyperpigmentation), acne scarring and stretch marks. 

THE TREATMENT PROCESS

The consultation will begin your treatment process, and a personalised treatment plan will be put in place. After assessing your concerns we can establish if Morpheus8 is the right treatment for you, outlining the amount of treatment sessions required to ensure the best result. The treatment is carried out by passing the handpiece over the surface of the skin in the affected area. This device contains 24 coated needles that penetrate the skin at the required depth. Having created a series of microchannels, radiofrequency energy is able to reach the layer where collagen fibres and fatty tissues are found. The heat from this technology stimulates the production of new collagen as well as contracting the fibres for an instant tightening effect. Your recommended treatment course may consist of a single treatment session, or a series of up to 3 (carried out 4 – 6 weeks apart), to achieve your desired result. 

AFTERCARE AND RESULTS

New collagen will need some time to develop, so although the skin may look and feel instantly tighter, a firmer, fuller complexion may not be evident for a few weeks. This will develop gradually, slowly transforming your appearance. Within 3 months your overall complexion will look tighter, brighter and younger.

Morpheus8 causes minor trauma to the skin sp you will need to allow it to heal. This may take around 5 – 7 days when you will need to treat your sensitive skin with care. We advise to only use gentle skincare products, and apply a soothing face mask or cool packs when necessary. A high SPF will need to be worn when going outside for the first couple of weeks, and make-up should not be applied for the first 24 – 48 hours.
