WHAT IS MARIONETTE LINES CORRECTION?
Marionette lines run from the corners of the mouth, down towards the chin. This is a common concern that arises through the process of ageing, which can give the mouth a downturned appearance.
The Facebible corrects this condition through a series of injections that contain dermal fillers. This product will add volume beneath the skin to help smooth the skin and reduce their appearance.
THE TREATMENT PROCESS
The Facebible will always carry out a thorough consultation prior to treatment. As well as assessing your concern, we will help you to understand and realise the best outcome possible for you. On the day of your treatment we will indicate where the injections will be administered, and a topical numbing may be applied beforehand. Marionette lines correction is applied using the finest of needles, with each injection placed carefully and precisely.
AFTERCARE AND RESULTS
As with most procedures that use dermal fillers, it is important to avoid touching the treatment area and applying any unnecessary pressure for up to 6 hours after the procedure. Aftercare instructions will also include avoiding hot baths / showers, sun exposure, particularly cold temperatures and a harsh cleansing routine.
Dermal fillers will assist in volumising the complexion and supporting the underlying tissues. The results can create a surface that is both smoother, firmer and fuller. This helps to both soften the appearance of marionette lines, as well as helping to lift the corners of the mouth for a youthful and happier appearance.

With a treatment of this nature, we would always offer the use of a numbing cream. This will help to alleviate any discomfort that the application of an injection may cause. This will be administered 20 – 30 minutes before the actual procedure to allow enough time for the product to take effect.
As an injection causes trauma to the skin and underlying tissues, it is inevitable that redness, bruising and swelling will occur. Due to the precision of the application and the use of a fine needle, these effects are usually minor and will only last for around 24 hours. However, this does not often cause you any disruption and you can continue with your usual daily routine.
One treatment session is often required to correct the appearance of marionette lines. To ensure the results last long into the future, you will need to undergo regular maintenance procedures. These may need to be arranged every 6 – 12 months.
