WHAT IS A LIQUID RHINOPLASTY?
Rhinoplasty is the medical term for a ‘nose job’. The liquid rhinoplasty is the non-surgical alternative for this procedure and can achieve a similar outcome, but without the painful and lengthy recovery period that is often involved. This procedure uses dermal fillers and offers a temporary solution to the appearance of a misshapen nose, also known as a nose bump.
The outcome can provide the affected person with an appearance that is more aesthetically pleasing, which in turn can boost their confidence.
THE TREATMENT PROCESS
During your pre-treatment consultation your practitioner will take an in-depth look at the concerns with the shape of your nose. The treatment will be applied to specific places where the fillers will work with the natural structure of the bone and cartilage to achieve your desired look. AFTERCARE AND RESULTS
The additional volume that fillers provide will act to disguise a bump in the nose, so that it appears straighter.
For up to 6 hours after the procedure you will need to avoid touching the nose, and applying any unnecessary pressure. The product will also settle into place more effectively if the nose is not exposed to extreme temperatures (both hot and cold).

A misshapen nose can be genetic, or may be caused by injury or trauma to the nose – when either the bone or the cartilage has become damaged. If a noticeable bump in the nose is causing concern, then you may be suitable for a liquid rhinoplasty. A comprehensive consultation will determine if this procedure is recommended for you. Those who are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a medical skin condition or active infection may find this procedure is not appropriate.
A liquid rhinoplasty can often be considered as a safer and less invasive alternative to a surgical rhinoplasty, or ‘nose job’. Dermal fillers will only be administered if the patient’s medical history and general health suggests that they are suitable.

As this treatment uses an injectable technique, this procedure may cause some slight discomfort. For this reason, we will ensure you have the opportunity to have a numbing cream applied. This will help to minimise any tenderness, and in some cases, the product will contain a mild anaesthetic.
An injectable treatment will potentially cause some swelling, bruising and redness on the nose. Although this may not cause you any downtime, however, they may take 24 – 48 hours to subside. Rare cases may see other complications develop, which will be explained to you during your initial consultation.
In most instances, one treatment session will usually provide the result you desire.
As the liquid rhinoplasty provides a temporary solution, you may want to arrange a regular routine of treatments with your practitioner. Dermal fillers will often last for around 6 -12 months before they have completely dissolved, which is when our patients expect to return.
